Are you interested in learning to grow your own food, but don’t know where to start? Do you want to have a garden, but don’t have the space? Have you tried to garden on your own and been disappointed?
This Spring Sip and Plant Workshop - designed for the beginner gardener - is a perfect introduction to growing your own food.
At the class you will learn the basics of container gardening, including how to plant and tend, what kind of soil to use, how to choose the perfect location for your container, and how to care for your garden to achieve maximum harvests with minimal work.
You will be planting your own container garden to take home with an experienced Garden Coach to guide you through every step. The plants available to choose from will include a variety of herbs, flowers, and lettuce plants. These plants grow here in the Wilmington, NC area outside all through spring, and should give you many harvests from this one planting. The planters are made from solid cedar and are made to last for years.
When the 1-hour class is over, you will take home your planted container garden, along with the knowledge to care for it confidently.
This class is designed for beginners and aspiring gardeners who have struggled in the past to keep plants growing. Gardeners of all experience levels are welcome.
This class is held at a handicapped accessible outdoor space, and one glass of wine or beer is included. (non-alcoholic options available)
Pre-registration is required, spots are limited. Hope to see you there!
